SALONE DEL MOBILE.MILANO TOUR KICKS OFF IN COPENHAGEN

The Salone del Mobile is setting the stage for its 2025 edition with a preview in Copenhagen, a city famous for its sustainability and innovative spirit. Scheduled for April 8-13 at Rho, Fiera Milano, this year’s event promises a variety of groundbreaking experiences, headlined by the debut of the Euroluce International Lighting Forum on April 10-11.

Under the theme ‘Light for Life. Light for Spaces’, the forum will feature 20 speakers, from botanists and biologists to light designers and artists, sharing their vision of the future of lighting. Visionaries like DRIFT, Stefano Mancuso, Marjan van Aubel, Kaoru Mende, and Rogier van der Heide are all set to deliver inspiring talks and workshops in an arena designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto.

Copenhagen, with its bold Climate Plan 2035, is the perfect first location for the Salone’s global tour, which will continue in cities like New York, Toronto, Paris, New Delhi, and Madrid. The Danish preview includes a discussion featuring Danish designer Zsuzsanna Horvath and lighting expert Rogier van der Heide, moderated by Erik Rimmer, editor-in-chief of Bo Bedre.

The 2025 Salone del Mobile is shaping up to be a unmissable event. With a sold-out exhibitor lineup, it will showcase four site-specific installations, a dynamic series of talks, and cultural highlights like Robert Wilson’s Mother—a powerful reinterpretation of Michelangelo’s final masterpiece—accompanied by Arvo Pärt’s Stabat Mater, performed live by the Estonian group Vox Clamantis.

Adding to the anticipation is the new communication campaign, Thought for Humans, created by Dentsu Creative Italy and photographer Bill Durgin. This project explores the intimate connection between the human body and design, setting the tone for an edition full of creativity and innovation.
