SAVOR DELICIOUS EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE AT NENI AMSTERDAM
Opened in 2019 at the Stadionplein in Amsterdam, NENI is a family-owned restaurant proposing a refined eastern Mediterranean cuisine. What started as a small business based in Vienna now expanded to all of Europe, from Berlin, Hamburg and Zurich to Mallorca, Copenhagen and Paris in a short period of time. Haya Molcho, the matriarch of the family is the driving force behind NENI, where each family member plays an active role in the company.

Everything at NENI Amsterdam is about sharing delicious mezze containing the rich flavours of sun-ripped fruits, fresh vegetables and local seafood. Many of the dishes are plant-based, which makes the menu very vegan-friendly. You can come enjoy a ravishing dinner or an elaborate brunch, depending and your mood. The ambiance is relaxed and informal, with a decoration designed by the renowned firm Concrete. The raw, industrial characteristics of the monumental garage hosting the restaurant is combined with warm eastern Mediterranean elements, creating a modern and homely atmosphere. The room is filled with fig trees and hanging lanterns, for an outdoor dining feel any day of the year. NENI also proposes take-away meals, to enjoy under the blankets at home or in a sunny park.
You will find hovering above NENI a superb cocktail bar dubbed “The Lemonman’, in honour of Roelof Citroen, an Amsterdam fruit merchant great-grandfather of the founder of the eponymous car brand. The bar is a wonderful place for an after-work drink, or an extended night savoring cocktails and bites. The flavours inspiring the cocktails are also found in traditional eastern Mediterranean cuisine, such as cloves, black lemon, pomegranate, homemade rose syrup and figs.
