Copenhagen Fashion Week: Our Highlights

With Paris Fashion Week’s schedule bursting at the seams, leaving attendees scrambling to keep up, smaller fashion weeks like Copenhagen and Berlin are carving out a niche that’s attracting an ever-growing audience. The allure of these more intimate events lies in their ability to foster genuine connections between designers, editors, and buyers—a stark contrast to the celebrity-packed frenzy that has come to define Paris and Milan. This year, the incredible sunny weather added an extra layer of excitement to CPHFW. Below are some of the standout moments that caught our attention last week.
Remain
Martin Asbjørn, in his second runway season for the renowned Danish brand REMAIN, delivered a collection that seamlessly blended elevated Scandinavian fashion with bold silver accessories. Known for their signature style that focuses on minimalism and modern elegance, REMAIN’s latest offering was a masterclass in sophistication. The collection featured clean lines, neutral tones, and a perfect balance of tailored pieces and relaxed silhouettes, all underscored by the brand’s commitment to sustainability and high-quality craftsmanship. The show, set against an all-white backdrop with a narrating soundtrack, was a sensory experience that left a lasting impression. Among the many fashionable attendees was Alana Hadid.
The Street Style
It’s no secret that Copenhagen boasts some of the best street style in the world, but during fashion week, the city truly comes alive. The streets were teeming with effortlessly stylish individuals, each one seemingly more fashionable than the last. Pump up the everyday cool by a thousand, and you’ve got the most photogenic crowd of show-goers imaginable. Photographer Elsa Goudenege was on hand to capture the sartorial splendor, and her photos confirm what we’ve long known: Copenhagen is a street style paradise.

Elhanati “Star Sign Poetry” Collection Showcase and Studio Tour
Our absolute favorite Danish jewelry brand, Elhanati, once again opened the doors to its charming studio to showcase the latest “Star Sign Poetry” collection. Drawing inspiration from all twelve zodiac signs, the collection is a poetic exploration of human emotion and character, meticulously crafted under the watchful eye of Orit Elhanati herself. The studio, centrally located and filled with an air of quiet sophistication, also offers personal appointments for bespoke jewelry, making it the perfect destination for those seeking something truly unique for special occasions.
CIFF Closing Dinner
Copenhagen Fashion Week has increasingly drawn attention to the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF), which runs concurrently with the week’s events. CIFF has long been a beacon of innovation and trendsetting in the fashion industry. This year’s edition, held at the Bella Center, marked a significant milestone in the fair’s history. With expanded spaces, a spotlight on both established and emerging brands, and a series of high-profile events, CIFF once again demonstrated why it remains a must-attend event on the global fashion calendar.
The culmination of CIFF 2024 was a grand 1,000-person dinner, a fitting celebration of yet another successful edition of the fair. Industry leaders, designers, buyers, and press gathered for an evening of fine dining and networking, reflecting on the week’s events and the valuable connections forged during the fair.
Nicklas Skovgaard Collection 09 Presentation
When it comes to intimate presentations done right, Nicklas Skovgaard is setting the standard. A relative newcomer to the Danish fashion scene, Skovgaard has quickly won over the hearts of fashion aficionados with his distinctive aesthetic and personal touch, especially on social media, where he shares not only his work but also vintage finds from flea markets. His Collection 09 presentation, accompanied by his muse Britt Liberg, was a testament to his growing influence. The atmosphere was one of understated elegance, perfectly in tune with Skovgaard’s vision.
