With ‘Outer Banks’ achieving immense success globally, how has the show impacted your career, and your life?

It’s had a tremendous impact on my life. It’s changed everything for me. I’m in a position where my dreams have truly become my reality. I believe in myself in a different way and I have more determination than ever to go after my passions.

You have a variety of roles in both TV and film. How do you choose your projects, and what factors influence your decisions?

I always get excited to read a character description that’s nothing like any other character I’ve played before. I love doing new things. I love a good challenge. I’m drawn to dynamic characters. If i’m reading a script that I cannot stop reading, it’s typically a good sign. Ultimately, I feel like it comes down to a gut feeling.

How do you adapt to various roles and genres, and how do you approach preparing for a new project?

Every project requires different prep. Sometimes physical prep, sometimes emotional. Lately, I’m really into making mood boards for characters, both styling and general vibe and aesthetic. I’ve done different things, like making playlists. Music can be an amazing tool for getting into character.

Looking ahead, are there any particular roles or types of projects you’re eager to explore?

I always keep an open mind with projects, but I’d really love to do a rom-com, particularly a queer one.

What keeps you motivated and inspired both professionally and personally?

It’s pretty simple, but truly making my family proud. I have 10 nieces and nephews that are looking up to me. I’m also very self motivated. I know I’m not done, so I just keep going, keep working hard and following my heart.

How do you maintain a balance between your career, personal life, and all other interests and hobbies you have?

It’s not easy, but i always make time for the things that fuel and recharge me. I spend my off days doing things that make me really happy. Whether it’s shopping, bowling, game nights or the spa, I find the time. My friends and family keep me going. I try to see them and hangout with people as much as possible.

This October, we’ll also be seeing you in Netflix’s ‘Time Cut’. What can you share with us about this horror thriller, and you other upcoming projects?

This movie is so fun. It’s a heartfelt time travel thriller, a little genre mashup, with the best nostalgic soundtrack and some fashion gems from 2003. I also just finished filming a rom-com for Amazon and released my first single ‘The Grey’, so lots of exciting things on the horizon.
