Numéro Netherlands Digital introduces Gleb Abrosimov: Hailing from Russia, Gleb Abrosimov is an actor, creative, and model based in Madrid. Moving to Spain at seven, Gleb's interest in acting began in 2021 while successfully modeling for brands like Hugo Boss, Balmain, and Moncler. In 2023, he debuted as Eric in Netflix's "Elite," quickly becoming a popular character. Gleb will reprise his role in the show's final season and is involved in various new projects, showcasing his versatility as a next-generation creative talent.
Hi Gleb! Can you tell us where your passion for acting originated from? Was there a particular moment or experience that sparked your interest?
My passion started when I was a child, around 11-12 years old. I loved watching movies and then imitating the characters I liked the most. I used to perform at home for my parents and enjoyed it a lot. An experience that sparked my interest was watching a boxing movie, CREED. After watching it, I went directly to the basement, put on my gloves, and created my own movie. I spent almost half the night boxing and realized I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to make it my goal in life.
Who were your first idols or inspirations in the acting and fashion world, and how did they influence your career path?
Honestly, I have never had an idol. I cannot give an example of just one. One of the actors who inspired me a lot is Omar Sy, in the movie Untouchable. When I saw the movie, I cried a lot. The actor transmitted so much with the character that it became my favorite movie and one of the roles I would love to play.

How did moving to Spain influence your artistic journey? Did this change play a significant role in shaping your career?
Moving to Spain influenced my way of being and seeing things a lot, especially because I needed to learn a new language from scratch as a child. Growing up surrounded by two different cultures has definitely helped me as a person and later as an actor.
You started artistic training in 2021. What were some of the most valuable lessons you learned during your courses, and how have they impacted your work?
During my courses, I learned to use body expression, practice improvisation, let go of many emotions, and understand how necessary it is to work from a more comfortable place. These lessons helped me develop empathy with the character.
You've worked with renowned brands like Hugo Boss, Balmain, and Moncler. How has your experience in the fashion industry influenced your acting career?
It has influenced me in a positive way. It is not easy to get in front of the camera and be natural, but working as a model, I got used to working in front of it. Although it is not the same, it helped me gain confidence.
What role does fashion play in your personal life?
Fashion plays an important role because I can express my mood at a particular moment and different stages of my life through it. Since I was a child, I have liked fashion a lot. I feel it is a non-verbal way of expressing oneself.

Landing a role in Netflix's "Elite" must have been a significant milestone. Can you share what it was like to play Eric and how you prepared for this role?
Playing Eric was a gift for me. He is a character with many issues but a very good heart. I enjoyed it very much. We both shared a very intimate part of our childhood. It was not difficult to connect with him from the beginning as we had many things in common. I understood the process he went through in each mood swing and the happy moments. I certainly couldn't have started my career with a better character.
How do you manage to balance your modeling career with your acting projects and personal endeavors? Do you find that one complements the other?
Being an actor has been my dream and goal, but modeling has always been something I enjoy a lot. Working in both is not difficult. As I am training and opportunities are arising, I am more and more occupied. I’m lucky to be busy doing things that I love.

Can you give us a sneak peek into some of the upcoming movies and projects you are currently involved in? What can your fans look forward to?
I'm starting new things. I can't say much, but I'm very happy with the new projects. I'm going to put a lot of effort, love, and work into them. I hope that the people who follow me will give me a lot of support.
What advice would you give to young aspiring actors and models who look up to you and wish to follow a similar career path?
I would tell them not to be afraid to try and fail, as failing is normal. Above all, learn from failures, work constantly on themselves and on the projects that come their way, and listen because we always have a lot to learn even though you think you already know everything.
