A REFINED ALPINE ESCAPE: MÉRIBEL & COURCHEVEL WITH ALPINE RESORTS
words by AYA SOFIA OPPENBERG
How do you transform a ski getaway into an unforgettable symphony of adventure and refinement? Our Editor-in-Chief, Timotej Letonja, had the pleasure of experiencing Alpine Resorts' curated journey through the French Alps—an immersion into the pinnacle of winter luxury. Over four nights, split between the understated charm of Méribel and the poised elegance of Courchevel, this escape redefined what it means to embrace the mountains.
The journey began in Méribel, a village that exudes quiet sophistication, nestled in the heart of Les Trois Vallées. The stay at Alpine Resorts' Le Falcon chalets was nothing short of exceptional. Spacious yet intimate, the accommodations allowed the breathtaking mountain landscape to take center stage, offering serene refuge after exhilarating days on the slopes. With over 300 impeccably maintained runs, the variety of terrain catered to every skiing preference, from adrenaline-pumping descents to leisurely pine-lined trails. The on-site spa provided a welcome respite between adventures, while the town’s selection of restaurants ensured that every meal was a culinary delight.
Midway through, the group ascended to Courchevel, where the experience elevated to an art form. At the five-star Manali Lodge, refinement was second nature, with suites that felt like private observatories of the ever-changing Alpine light. The ski conditions were pristine, the slopes drawing an effortlessly chic crowd that seemed to glide with innate grace. Post-ski, the indulgence continued at Bistrot Manali and Sushi Bar Gaïa, where flavors were as precise as the surrounding landscape.
Alpine Resorts delivered an experience that was more than just a ski trip—it was an immersion into winter’s most exquisite form. From world-class skiing to luxurious hospitality, Méribel and Courchevel proved to be the epitome of Alpine perfection, a mesmerizing balance of movement and tranquility.
