BOYS NOIZE UNVEILS NEW LABEL: ONES AND ZEROS
A defining force in 21st-century underground music, German-Iraqi DJ and producer Boys Noize (aka Alex Ridha) unveils ONES and ZEROS [OAZ], a concept-driven label exploring new modes of creative and subcultural circulation. OAZ emerged on social media without warning—no announcement, no context—yet quickly amassed over 10,000 followers and millions of views through cryptic, micro-fiction narratives that blur the boundaries between present and future.
Now, its identity has been fully revealed on February 21st, with the release of Boys Noize presents ONES and ZEROS, a 22-track compilation arriving in 3xLP and digital formats. The launch was also accompanied by limited-edition jewelry designed in collaboration with ALLIGATOR JESUS and Eric Timothy Carlson.
Techno’s pioneers envisioned a world reshaped by AI and automation—a world we now live in. OAZ takes this hyperstitional project forward, driven by the idea that the best way to reshape the present is by reimagining the future. It operates as more than just a label; it’s a subcultural server, aggregating and amplifying artists who share a taste for the unorthodox, resisting the homogenization of electronic music. Instead of aesthetic refinement and uniformity, OAZ embraces local styles, diverse influences, and raw experimentation. Uncompromising, positive-sum, and constantly evolving, ONES and ZEROS is a network that connects software and hardware, physical and digital, local and global, the now and the next—freeing techno from predestination and pushing its possibilities forward.
Following productions for A$AP Rocky, Lady Gaga, and Frank Ocean; film scoring work including Challengers (with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails) and Oliver Stone’s Snowden; extensive collaborations with Skrillex, SOPHIE, VTSS, Rico Nasty, Kelsey Lu, Pussy Riot, Shygirl, Sega Bodega, and Tommy Cash; an EP and capsule collection with the late Virgil Abloh; legendary remixes for Daft Punk, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Depeche Mode, and David Lynch; and multiple GRAMMY nominations, Boys Noize remains fiercely independent and deeply embedded in the culture that shaped him.
Now, he channels that spirit into ONES and ZEROS—an experimental label dedicated to expanding the possibilities of techno and beyond. More than just a platform for music, OAZ is a network for subcultural reinvigoration, forging connections and shaping the club sounds of the future.
The label’s full reveal also coincided with the release of its debut compilation, featuring the artists who have defined the OAZ sound so far. Alongside two tracks from Boys Noize, the record features contributions from Safety Trance, DJ Babatr, Slim Soledad, Schacke, KFR, TINKERHELL, MarcelDune, and more.
