EXCLUSIVE BEAUTY EDITORIAL BY ANH NGUYAEN

Makeup Artist Anh Nguyaen grew up in Vietnam with moving pictures predominantly from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan. The 90s was pre Korean cultural wave and the Vietnam War ending in 1975 was still a recent memory. Vietnam’s creative outlets were filled with war stories and politically driven content, thus the people found comfort in soap operas from neighboring countries. Anh’s subconscious fascination with historical Asian beauty, makeup, and fashion is now materialized into 'Soap Opera'.
