GANT PRESENTS ITS FW24 COLLECTION: A TRIBUTE TO 75 YEARS OF AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR

This season pays tribute to the brand's origins and draws inspiration from workwear and functional clothing. Also inspired by the classic school uniform, the Fall/Winter 24 collection showcases a broad range of preppy garments, updated classics, and iconic pieces, contrasted with workwear-inspired items. In addition to the regular FW24 collection, GANT is also introducing the '75th Anniversary Collection,' an exclusive collection celebrating their 75th anniversary.

GANT stays true to its heritage. They continue to focus on their roots with signature color blocking, contrasting details, and classic Oxford stripes, with denim taking center stage and forming the cornerstone of the collection.

As the season progresses, the main collection evolves to embrace the outdoors, featuring luxurious shearling, cozy fleece, and corduroy fabrics. The addition of Fair Isle patterns adds a touch of rustic charm, with outerwear and knitwear taking center stage during the colder months.

In addition to the main Fall/Winter 24 collection, GANT proudly introduces the Anniversary Collection, a limited-edition capsule created as a special tribute to the brand's 75 years of American sportswear.

“Over the past 75 years, we’ve achieved great things, and we are very proud of our heritage and unique archive, where we preserve several thousand vintage GANT pieces from the past seven decades,” says Christopher Bastin, Creative Director at GANT.

“We continue to honor our legacy as one of the original American sports brands with the '75th Anniversary Collection,' which features both elevated collegiate classics and limited-edition replicas of our favorite archival pieces,” he continues.

The collection, led by a limited edition of archival pieces, features numerous heavyweight rugby shirts, an item synonymous with GANT. Inspired by archival pieces such as a GANT Sport iteration from 1990 and a bleached classic rugby shirt from 1980, sourced from a vintage dealer in South Korea. It also includes essential Oxford shirts in chalk stripes, candy-striped poplin, twill, and flannel, inspired by pieces from the 1950s and beyond.

A favorite from GANT’s extensive archive, a fully leather varsity jacket from the 1980s, has been reinvented in the finest vegetable-tanned leather. Additionally, a classic Ivy Harrington jacket from 1997 has been updated from its original soft yellow to a light olive khaki tone.

The FW24 collection and the 75th Anniversary collection will be available from September on gant.nl and in selected stores.
