HERMÈS RELEASES NEW VERSIONS OF THE ARCEAU L’HEURE
From the celestial choreography of the Arceau L’heure de la Lune to the boundless journey of the Arceau Le Temps Voyageur, Hermès reimagines time as both a companion and an escape. Unbound by traditional watchmaking conventions, the maison infuses its timepieces with an audacious sense of movement—where every second is not measured, but experienced.
Originally introduced in 2019, the Arceau L’heure de la Lune returns in a 12-piece limited edition, unveiling three new variations. The signature mobile counters orbit the dial over 59 days, revealing lunar phases simultaneously for the Northern and Southern hemispheres—an intricate ballet powered by an exclusive 117-component Hermès module. A Pegasus, drawn from Dimitri Rybaltchenko’s Full Moon motif, graces one of the moons on each model, a poetic nod to the maison’s equestrian heritage.
Each iteration plays with duality—contrasting materials and celestial fragments embedded in the dial. The white gold and blue titanium version features a lunar meteorite, while the rose gold and titanium model is adorned with a fragment of Vesta, one of the largest known asteroids. The third, in white and rose gold, showcases Erg Chech meteorite, a relic of a long-vanished celestial body. These timepieces are finished with matte alligator leather straps, crafted in the house’s storied ateliers—abyss blue for the first, graphite for the latter two.
Launched in 2022, the Arceau Le Temps Voyageur now takes on a new expression in white and rose gold. A floating counter glides across the dial, displaying local time while a fixed 24-hour disc at 12 o’clock anchors home time. This fluidity is orchestrated by a 122-component module integrated into the Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement.
A study in depth and dimension, the dial’s design is drawn from Jérôme Colliard’s Planisphère d’un monde équestre, mapping the continents in exquisite relief. The 41mm white gold model features a grey-blue lacquered dial, navy city disc, and blue-varnished skeletonized hands, paired with an abyss blue alligator strap. The 38mm rose gold version, adorned with 78 diamonds, presents the world map on a natural mother-of-pearl dial, with opaline champagne-toned continents framed in rose gold. Leaf-shaped hands complete the design, complemented by a pearl grey alligator strap.
