LA VACANZA 2025: VERSACE BETWEEN SEA AND STRUCTURE
For La Vacanza 2025, Versace drifts toward the sea, with a collection that moves between saltwater and stone, bringing a feeling of the beach into the structure of city life. This season revisits Trésors de la Mer, reimagined in fluid silhouettes and utility pieces. The prints reappear across clothing, towels, slippers, and wraps. The language of the ocean is spoken in silk, jersey, cotton-wool blends, and metal mesh. Wet-look sequins glaze the surface of dresses. Embroideries recall sand-polished glass. Shapes are structured and loose, layered and weightless.
Photographed by Zoë Ghertner, the campaign moves between outdoor and indoor settings. Greek mythology, Reggio Calabria, and ’90s Versace appear throughout.
Beyond its materiality, the collection extends its relationship with the ocean through a collaboration with Coral Gardeners. Versace is supporting the restoration of reefs in French Polynesia by adopting 9,000 coral fragments. Each piece in the collection offers the opportunity to follow the growth of an individual coral - its placement on the reef, and its development over time. The initiative has the clear goal of contributing to the preservation of marine ecosystems in a tangible way.
