LIVIANA CONTI PRESENTS AN EXCLUSIVE EVENING ON MILAN ART WEEK

words by NATALIE GAL

Within the walls of Agorà, in Milan Liviana Conti presented an exclusive event at the MUDEC in Milan.

The Agorà was created by David Chipperfield, a space of contemporary minimalism, and became the perfect home for the event. Sounds of the artist Aimée Portioli, a Berlin-based composer and sound designer elevated the atmosphere in which body and architecture intertwined. Playing with the striking contrast between sound and silence she captivated the audiences, creating a sensory experiment where the guests become a part of the artwork themselves.

The performance was a part of "Il vostro cielo fu mare, il vostro mare fu cielo" by Adrian Paci, an artwork already featured in the museum, which explores themes of metamorphoses, separation and transformation.

The garments brought forth a refinement of statue-like perfection and serenity, shrouded in simplicity. This clarity of the collection was advanced by the serenity of the architectural space itself. Even though the colour scheme stayed black and white, the individual segments are moving on a huge variety of styles, from timeless elegance to bold streetwear. The collection highlights the importance of delicate details, and losing ourselves in the experience and act of interpreting.
