PRADA COLLABORATES WITH NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC AND SEA BEYOND
Miuccia never fails to pleasantly surprise us — and yes, we’re still thinking about everyone’s current crush, A.K.A. Harris Dickinson, in the ‘Prada Protagonist’ campaign shot by Steven Meisel. But today, we’re shifting focus. Instead, we’re diving into the collaboration with National Geographic, first launched in 2019, and SEA BEYOND, for the release of a new documentary series exploring the origins of Prada Re-Nylon. For those who may not know, Prada Re-Nylon is the brand’s sustainable reinvention of its signature fabric, made entirely from regenerated nylon sourced from ocean plastics, landfills, and textile waste.
The new episodes, with the first one released just last week, will trace every step of the Prada Re-Nylon collection, featuring Prada Ambassadors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink. From Norway to Mexico, the series will explore the power of preservation and the importance of protecting our delicate ecosystems.
Y/PROJECT SHUTS DOWN AFTER 14 YEARS
Some loves take long detours, only to (not) return again. Well, the saying wasn’t exactly like that, but what’s happened at Y/Project truly encapsulates this feeling. After 14 years and the recent departure of creative director Glenn Martens, the brand is sadly ceasing operations. The cause seems to be a failed attempt to find a new buyer. But before we say our goodbyes, let’s take a moment to remember the brand's defining moments. From their denim silhouettes and the invisible tank top, to the middle-finger-to-the-world jewelry, the AW21 Melissa Court vegan mule collaboration, and that iconic, celebrity-filled lookbook campaign for their AW24 collection, Y/Project will forever be remembered as a brand that helped shape what we now consider luxury. And who knows, maybe some loves do come back at some point or another.
LOEWE LAUNCHES ITS SS25 CAMPAIGN FEATURING DREW STARKEY
If you're still captivated by Drew Starkey's performance in Queer—or if you haven’t seen the film yet—LOEWE has just given you another reason to be intrigued. This time, the actor stars as the new face of the fashion house in the Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, captured by the legendary David Sims. The shoot blends bodies, nature, and movement in a harmonious narrative, set against the stunning backdrop of Tavertet in Catalonia’s Collsacabra region.
In what feels like a dialogue between the natural elements of the landscape and the models— including Taylor Russell and LOEWE global ambassador Wang Yibo—the campaign features beautiful crinoline dresses suspended on poles, symbolizing the union of fashion and nature.
