SAMSØE SAMSØE PARTNER UP WITH MANTECO FOR THEIR AW24 COLLECTION

For its AW24 collection, Samsøe Samsøe collaborates with Italian textile brand, and long-term partner, Manteco to create sustainable outerwear. Focused on timeless shapes and silhouettes, the collaboration uses eco-friendly material and aims to carry on both brand’s dedication to sustainability. To accompany the release, a campaign has been published to showcase the journey of the garments — from fibers to final products. 

The collection stars Manteco’s special MWool, wool that is made from recycled scraps which is then coloured without any added dyes or chemicals. The process begins in Prato, Italy. Using a special Manteco software, the brand records every step in the production, down to its smallest  details — from raw materials to spinning and from weaving to finishing.

Choosing MWool for our outerwear is a natural continuation of our partnernship with Manteco and the ambitions for the fashion industry that we share.” 

Blending this Italian material with the Scandinavian simplicity of Samsøe Samsøe creates a harmonious look that is perfect for both colder and urban settings. 

Moving from the Italian countryside to the busy streets of Milan, Alex Kurunis captures the looks in a tastefully elegant series of images. Inspired by tailoring and workwear, the styles highlight the talents’ modern take on traditional designs, combining the contemporary with the classic. From the melange Satesfa and Samolly coat to the Alma coat with oversized fit, the outerwear that originates from this partnership, and the fabric from which it is made, form a timeless capsule that seamlessly fits into the street style across international cities.
