THE RESOUNDING PARISIAN DEBUT OF GROUNDS’ SS25 COLLECTION

With a presentation set a cozy local café, grounds is landing in the French capital with a collection right out of a contemporary version of Alice in Wonderland. Rooting the brand in its bold aesthetic, the SS25 collection paid homage to the streets of Tokyo, introducing a dynamic blend of daring innovations and outstanding technique.The footwear is definitely grounds’ strong suit, and pushes the boundaries of the genre by showcasing its signature outsoles. Titled “INTERRUPTER”, this collection transgresses the rules and presents an offset, definitely unique take on fashion. 

The collection delivered an immersive experience that felt like a return to the brand’s roots in a whole new décor. The streetwear influences of grounds are visible through the boxing shorts, loose fits and relaxed attitude of the garments. The items stay monochromes and present an interesting view on clothing. Either it being loose tailoring, minimalist outfits or crazy architectural bodysuit, each grounds’ creation is a uniquely thought item. The dynamic interplay of futuristic design and Tokyo's underground culture made this season a standout, capturing the essence of disruption and artistic expression of the brand.

The SKYCRAPER is an 8cm high platform sneaker that sports a foamy design and lightweight phylon sole, while the CRYSTAL is an audacious, mega-sized sole that truly embody the concept of interruption, ensuring constant attention. Lastly, the JOG VISION takes it inspiration in sport shoes, and is optimized for movement. Declined in bright neon colors, high-tech textures and ultra-light outsole, this shoes ensure functionality while conserving a cutting-edge style.
