WELCOME TO THE ART OF DIGITAL

There are no longer any limitations to what we are able to create. Boundaries of fashion, art, music, and technology are blurred, and possibilities have grown beyond expectation. This is the design vision of Age of Digital, a new brand driven by freedom.
For its debut, AOD proposes a chair – a universal staple object. In its form and function, the chair serves as a blank canvas for exploring the interplay between tradition and unforeseen advancements. By harnessing both natural and engineered forces, AOD’s chair represents a conceptual turning point for contemporary design.
Produced in France as a highly limited series, each chair is numbered and unique.
The AOD chair is cast entirely from metal, created with a 3D tool typically used in film production. Its organic silhouette, hand polished to maintain an irregular texture, evokes the fluidity of mercury as if it had been frozen in time. Thus, the form is man-made and natural at once. Its curves, carved like rock formations by water, create negative space that introduces softness into the otherwise cold material. In these open spaces, representing the consistency of change, the AOD logo is hidden - a wink to those who know to look for it.
In their fashion debut, AOD proposes the foundation for a wardrobe to come, a capsule of garments that represent classics of the current Zeitgeist. A zipped hoodie, t-shirt and workwear pants in jogging material are subverted from everyday basics to highly coveted, hand finished garments with a powerful presence. Metal studs and asymmetrical hems define the collection with an effortless attitude. Looking closer, the AOD logo is embroidered into heavy cotton and French terry, and engraved onto personalised rivets. An oversized fit and dry wash maintains a clean look and comfortable feel.
This first clothing release will be highly limited, and each piece will be numbered.
AOD was founded by Osman Mercan, born in France with Turkish heritage. Without formal training, Mercan refers to a disruptive ethos in all his projects, redefining and reimagining possibilities in the visual arts. In 2015, he co-founded TMBA, a video production company, leading him to projects such as artistic direction for French rapper Laylow. The next phase of his creative journey builds on his experience of crafting props and creating visual identity in the Hip-Hop music industry, bridging this knowledge and translating his aesthetic codes into the world of design. Mercan aspires to break down elitist conventions and welcome younger audiences, a new generation of creatives, into a realm of art through the belief that everything is possible.
The AOD debut capsule collection and chair will be available online. In 2025, AOD will expand its universe with a series of design objects and ready-to-wear pieces.
