MONKEY SHOULDER LAUNCHES SHOULDER 2 SHOULDER RADIO

In collaboration with Radio Radio, Monkey Shoulder presents a unique mix of sets and interviews featuring artists such as Jarreau Vandal, Elias Mazian, Doudou MD, Rozaly, Carlos Valdes, Samuel Deep, Cinnaman, and many more.

On April 9 and 10, the first edition of Shoulder 2 Shoulder Radio will take place at Radio Radio in Amsterdam. This online radio event explores the intersection of hiphop and house, bringing together some of the Netherlands' most influential artists who share a connection to both genres. More than just a showcase of musical styles, the show aims to highlight where identity and culture overlap. To guide these conversations, Vincent Reinders—renowned 3FM radio host and founder of Radio Radio—will host the broadcast, leading interviews and seamlessly connecting the different segments.

Artists such as Jarreau Vandal, Carlos Valdes, Doudou MD, Jerrau, and Boris Werner will deliver exclusive sets during the broadcast. While music is at the core of the event, the extended format allows for deeper discussions on identity and culture, featuring panel talks and interviews with guests like rapper SKAV. Additional guest interviewers include Steven van Lummel (host of the Bakkie Bakkie podcast & founder of PIP Den Haag) and Fatou Thiam (MC/host and co-founder of Marimba Amsterdam – African Electronic Community). Lastly never-before-aired sets from Amsterdam’s most influential clubs will also be featured throughout the night.

The Shoulder 2 Shoulder Radio livestream will be available at shoulder2shoulderradio.com and fully broadcast via Radio Radio’s website. All sets and interviews will be archived afterward, along with artist bios and Monkey Shoulder cocktail recipes.

To close out the event, an exclusive afterparty will be held at Radio Radio. Anyone who signs up through the platform will have a chance to receive an invitation.
