On February 3rd, sensational K-pop group Ateez held a concert at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam as part of their ‘TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER’ world tour. This marked the group’s second time performing at Ziggo Dome and their fourth visit to the Netherlands during their tours. With a capacity of up to 17,000 attendees, the arena was packed with fans eagerly anticipating seeing the group live.
ATEEZ is a South Korean K-pop group that debuted in 2018 consisting of 8 members: HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, SAN, MINGI, WOOYOUNG, and JONGHO. As expected, they delivered exceptional performances, incorporating elaborate stage designs and storytelling theatrics — such as two giant tentacles emerging from the stage and a fully constructed Western-styled bar set. Their synchronised dancing and captivating vocal prowess kept the crowd energized and entertained throughout the show. The setlist featured some of their most popular songs from their discography, including ‘Say My Name,’ ‘Wave,’ and ‘Work’, showcasing their versatility in multiple genres from hip-hop, and electropop to ballads and R&B.
Additionally, the continuous interactions with fans heightened the excitement overall. Interactive elements like a surveillance-eye camera on top of a tower set scanning the crowd, directly speaking with the fans, and personal messages from each member. At the end of the night, ATEEZ was surprised with a special video project created by some fans who wanted to share with the group how they made them feel.
Moments like these exemplify why ATEEZ has cultivated such a passionate global fanbase, contributing to their record-breaking accomplishments; such as being the first K-Pop boy group to perform at Coachella and their second studio album, 'THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL,' maintained the number one spot on the Billboard 200 for six weeks.
