ICK DANS AMSTERDAM AND NXT MUSEUM TEAM UP FOR A UNIQUE DANCE PERFORMANCE

ICK Dans Amsterdam, the iconic platform for contemporary dance joins forces with Nxt Museum to bring the public an intimate performance centered around the moving body and artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Breath in a Physical Resolution”, this performance opens a dialogue with Random International’s exhibition “Life in a Different Resolution”. This project comes after a series of successful performances at the Amsterdam Art Week, and keeps the stamina going for the collective. Choreographed by Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten, the dancing performance will bring two worlds together, creating a connection between the organic and the technologic. These principles resonate perfectly with Nxt Museum’s focus on new media art that uses modern and never-seen-before techniques to embody modern times.

Amidst the exhibtion’s large-scale and immersive artworks, six dancers will move between the objects of art that respond to their movements. The audience will be invited to experience the interesting take on the relationship between the human body and the algorithmic technology. Offering a reflection on the interaction between our flesh vessel and the digital world we find ourselves today, “Breath in Physical Resolution” will open doors to new interpretations and possibilities about our humanly future in a landscape that becomes more and more digital and artificial.

The performances will take place on Wednesday, August 28th from 19h00 to 19h30 and from 20h30 to 21h
