SWATCH LAUNCHES THE LIMITED-EDITION BIOCERAMIC MOONSWATCH
The Bioceramic MoonSwatch MISSION TO THE SUPER BLUE MOONPHASE is a double homage to summer. The Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase will be available exclusively from August 1 to August 19—right up until the full moon. Sales start at 5 p.m., the perfect time to unwind and sip on a drink as the day winds down.
The Bioceramic MoonSwatch MISSION TO THE SUPER BLUE MOONPHASE not only features a chronograph function but also showcases a multi-shade blue moon phase with UV ink, set against a dark celestial background and positioned at the 2 o’clock subdial. A blue pulsometer scale with white markers adorns the Bioceramic bezel, distinguishing it from the other watches in the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Collection, which sport a tachymeter function.
The pulsometer is a specialized display, commonly found on sports chronographs or counters, that allows the wearer to measure their heart rate without manual calculation. Originally designed for medical professionals, this function lets the user determine their heart rate by stopping the chronograph hand after 30 beats, with the dial then showing the heart rate per minute.
Additionally, the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase features a panda dial, where the silver-opaline dial contrasts with blue subdials. The watch incorporates various shades of blue, ranging from light to dark.
Like all models in the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Collection, the Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase is crafted from Swatch’s patented Bioceramic, a unique blend of two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced materials derived from castor oil.
This new watch features its mission statement on the back of the case, along with the
OMEGA X SWATCH logos on the dial and crown. The battery cover showcases a moon in an array of blue shades, adding a celestial touch. Completing the look is a spacesuit-ready blue VELCRO® strap, perfect for that final touch of astronaut chic.
Fans will recognize several iconic elements from OMEGA’s legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch, the first watch to journey to the moon. These include the asymmetrical case and the distinctive Speedmaster subdials.
