Actor Austin Abrams will be starring in Apple TV+’s ‘Wolfs’ opposite Brad Pitt and George Clooney. The psychological action-thriller will be released theatrically on September 20, before streaming on 27th September. Austin is know from his roles in ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The Walking Dead’.

Austin, we’ll be seeing you in the action thriller ‘Wolfs’. What can you tease about the film and your role in it?

It’s a story about two fixers that don’t know each other and are accidentally assigned to clean up the same dead body for a high profile politician. I play a character that they refer to as the kid. He’s a naïve guy that gets caught up in their world, and he is very unprepared for it.

What were you most excited about when you got cast on this film?

The prospect of being able to work with Brad, George and Jon Watts was very very exciting to me. These are people that I have admired for so long individually, so the opportunity to be able to work with all of them together was an insanely amazing opportunity.

Starring opposite Brad Pitt and George Clooney is not something you get to do every day. How was your experience of working with them, and what have you gotten to learn from them?

The experience really couldn’t have been better. They are extremely gracious, welcoming and generous people. Just seeing how thoughtful and collaborative they are was a big takeaway for me.

What is your favorite memory from the set of this action thriller?

It’s difficult to pick a particular moment, but I’ll never forget my first day pulling up to set. The crowds of people gathered around, then getting into a quiet car with Brad and George, and listening to them talk about 'Ocean's 11' and the different pranks that George has pulled over the years. That one is certainly imprinted in my brain.

You’re best known for your roles in ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The Walking Dead’. How have these two roles impacted your career?

They’ve both definitely had an impact, but it’s difficult for me to analyze exactly what that impact has been. The best I can come up with is the sheer number of people that it exposes you to.

From all the roles you’ve gotten to portray so far, which one has impacted you personally the most?

Well, it’s difficult to choose which has made the most impact personally, but 'Wolfs' for example, had a profound effect just in terms of being able to learn from Brad and George, and watch their approach on a film set.

What challenges you creatively the most as an actor?

Self-consciousness.

Outside of acting, what are the things you are most passionate about?

Anything having to do with nature and climbing.

What exciting projects do you have coming up after ‘Wolfs’?

I just finished shooting this movie 'Weapons' from writer and director Zach Cregger. I loved his last movie 'Barbarian', and was fortunate enough to be able to work with him. It has an incredible cast and story, and I’m very excited for people to see it.
