Singer, actress and TV host Noa Kirel recently released her latest single ‘Ba Da Bing’, with which she continues to expand her global reach, particularly in Europe. Her work in television has further cemented her status as a multi-talented entertainer.
Noa, you just released your newest, electrifying single ‘Ba Da Bing’. Tell us more about the song and what inspired it.
‘Ba Da Bing’ is all about energy and confidence. I wanted to create a track that makes you feel unstoppable, like you can take on the world. It’s fun, powerful, and embodies everything I want my music to represent right now, being bold and unapologetically yourself. The inspiration came from my personal experiences, where I’ve learned to embrace my own uniqueness, and I wanted the song to encourage others to do the same.
The single was produced by Sam Lassner, better known as Prince Fox. How was it working with a producer, who’s behind the hits of artists like Bebe Rexha and David Guetta amongst others?
Working with Prince Fox was an incredible experience. He has this amazing ability to bring out the best in an artist, and his attention to detail is insane. He really understands how to craft a sound that feels modern but also timeless. With ‘Ba Da Bing’, we were able to play around with different elements and create something that feels fresh, but also very me. His experience with artists like Bebe Rexha and David Guetta definitely brought a great vibe to the studio.
The visually captivating video perfectly complements the song’s powerful message. Tell us more about the message of the song and it’s importance not only to you, but to the listeners.
The video for ‘Ba Da Bing’ is all about owning your power and being unafraid to stand out. I wanted the visuals to reflect the energy of the song, bold and unapologetic. The message is simple. Be confident, be yourself and don’t be afraid to take up space. I think it’s something we all need to hear sometimes, and I hope it resonates with my listeners the same way it does with me.
You’ve teased the release of ‘Ba Da Bing’ with short videos on TikTok. Why did you decide on this promotional approach and what has been the response to it?
I’ve always believed in the power of connecting directly with my fans, and TikTok is such a great platform for that. It allows me to share bits of the process in real-time and build excitement leading up to the release. Plus, it’s so interactive. I love seeing how fans respond, especially when they create their own videos using the track. The response has been amazing and it's been so fun watching the song take off even before it officially dropped.
How do you think social media, especially TikTok, impacts the music industry?
Social media, and TikTok in particular, has completely changed the game for artists. It gives us a way to connect with fans instantly and share our music in a more personal, organic way. I’ve seen songs explode on TikTok because of how people engage with them, whether it’s through dance challenges, covers, or even just sharing moments of their day with the music in the background. It’s an amazing tool for discovery and creativity.
What role does social media play in your life, also in the sense of engaging with your fans?
Social media is a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally. It’s where I can be myself and let fans see the real me beyond the stage or the studio. I love that I can share everyday moments, whether it’s something fun or just a behind-the-scenes look at my work. It also lets me hear directly from my fans, and I really value that connection. It’s like we’re all on this journey together.
What would you describe as the highlight moment of your career so far?
There have been so many amazing moments, but representing my country at the Eurovision Song Contest was definitely a huge highlight. It was such a special experience to perform on that stage with so many talented artists from around the world. Also, every time I get to release new music and see how it connects with people, that’s a highlight for me. Watching fans sing along to my songs is always unforgettable.
Besides music, you are also an actress. What are your goals and plans for your career as an actress?
I’ve always loved acting and it’s something I want to continue exploring alongside my music. I’m really excited about my upcoming role in the futuristic drama series 'Wonder', which is being produced by Paramount Studio. It’s a completely different kind of project for me, and I’m looking forward to diving into the character and showing a new side of myself as an actress. Acting gives me the chance to tell stories in a different way, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.
When you’re not recording, on set or performing, how do you like spending your free time?
In my free time, I love spending time with my partner, who recently proposed. We’ve been engaged for a few weeks now. He’s a goalkeeper at Bayern Munich, and we’re both constantly moving between countries, which keeps things exciting. I also love hanging out with friends and family. They keep me grounded. Traveling and experiencing new cultures is another huge passion of mine. And, when I can, I like to just relax, watch movies and recharge. It’s important to take those quiet moments too.
What exciting projects are you working on next?
Along with promoting ‘Ba Da Bing’, I’m working on my role in 'Wonder', which I’m so excited about. I’m also really looking forward to continuing to perform overseas. I just had a huge performance at Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was such an iconic performance and I can’t wait to continue bringing my energy to different countries. There's a lot of new music in the works and I’m really excited about where my journey as an independent artist is taking me. So, fans can definitely expect a lot more soon.
