ANN DEMEULEMEESTER PRESENTS THE SECOND EDITION OF KIDS, A VISUAL DIARY IN THE HEART OF NEW YORK CITY

Ann Demeulemeester is back with a second chapter of her thundering cultural project KIDS. This visual dairy gathers talents from different horizons to tell the rich history of New York’s underground art and culture scene. From musician, to artists, passing by  actors, designers and models, KIDS reunites creatives from all over the city to celebrate community and cutting-edge thinking dear to Ann Demeulemeester’s philosophy. Expertly crafted by creative director Stefano Gallici, KIDS shows us the importance of joining forces and giving a voice to the youth to make the art world evolve.

Shot over one week in New York’s most intimate and iconic scenery, the project features musician Stella Rose Gahan, actor Quintessa Swindell, designer Jakob Hetzer, model Dakota Butler, and painter Hunter Amos. Each of their unique voices built the narrative of KIDS, further stirring the coalescence of fashion, art and culture that make this project so special. The second edition of KIDS is more than a fashion campaign, it pushes the norms’ boundaries to bring to life a powerful platform for talents and outcast to recognize themself in.

Stefano Gallici, supported by Jason Renaud captured the raw and unfiltered essence of New York’s creative scene, revealing the source of inspiration and the essential aspect of collaboration. The result plunges us in the heartbeat of the City That Never Sleeps, a journey where everyone has a place and a reason to be. The unapologetic vision of Ann Demeulemeester emanates from the images, this attachment to genderless clothing and strong fashion statement expressed in minimalist lines and shapes. Keeping an open mind and dynamic spirit is at the heart of the second edition of KIDS, reminding us to always be bold and shoot for the impossible.
