DAILY PAPER AND CONVERSE COLLABORATE ON NEW VIBRANT COLLECTION
Daily Paper and Converse have joined their creative energies to collaborate on the ‘Colours of Independence’ collection. Celebrating contemporary style and cultural heritage, the capsule features the Chuck 70 and De Luxe Squared and is supported by a stunning campaign captured in the rich and vibrant Senegal.
As symbols of self-expression, both brands uplift their communities by celebrating diversity through art and fashion, here the partnership brings new life to the Chuck 70 and the De Luxe Squared, along with limited-edition apparel.
Inspired by global movements for liberation and pride, the collection is anchored by quilted patterns, embroidered detailing, and Pan-African colors to symbolize freedom and unity. The shoes feature black uppers with vibrant red, yellow, and green accents. The Chuck 70 includes an all-over shield logo stitching with colourful details, while the De Luxe Squared creates a bold aesthetic through its angels. Additional heritage elements include, colourful laces and custom Chuck Taylor ankle patches, license plates, and outsoles, seamlessly combining the Converse and Daily Paper DNA.
Such details are further carried onto limited-edition garments. Comfort is delivered through a full-zip fleece hoodie, Gold Standard tee and wide-leg pants, while style and functionality combine in the Malden Liner jacket, cropped shirt, and cargo skirt. The jacket features an all-over quilted pattern, while the skirt is made with an open seam slit and welt pockets on the side and back.
“The project celebrates passion for both community and self-expression”, stated Abderrahmane Trabsini, Co-founder and Design Director of Daily Paper, “This collection is a tribute to the resilience and creativity of youth across the world."
The collection is out now at Daily Paper Flagship stores in Amsterdam, London, and New York and select global retailers for Converse. Additionally, it can be found on both the Daily Paper and Converse website.
