LOUIS VUITTON PRESENTS MON MONOGRAM

Louis Vuitton presents Mon Monogram, its newly enhanced personalisation service, with a refined selection of customisation options—from a fresh palette of colours and initials to the subtle charm of optional new stripes.

Personalisation was born at the same time as the House. Originally, the marking of trunks met the need to distinguish them from those of other travellers. Beyond a means of identification, personalisation is an artistic imprint that gives the object a unique character.

Over the decades, the House has maintained the art of personalisation at the service of its clients. What began as a functional need to identify one’s luggage evolved into a status symbol and a canvas for creativity. In the 1920s, a dedicated personalisation service even gave clients the possibility to create their own monogram.

Integral to the DNA of the House, this commitment to offering clients unique ways to personalise and identify their Louis Vuitton designs has expanded over the years. More recently, in 2008, this iconic service evolved into a totally new personalisation experience that invited clients to make their mark on the pieces they carry. Today’s Mon Monogram expands upon the original 2008 service by extending the range of models and motifs. Versatile and unisex, products such as the travel bags, rolling luggage, travel accessories, city bags and small leather goods are customised to order and made by hand by our artisans in France.

Mon Monogram service, accessible digitally and through in-store locations, proposes a wider range of possibilities such as new colours, typefaces, stripe designs and patches to enhance women’s and men’s bags in classic Monogram and also on Monogram Eclipse for select items. Furthermore, from the moment the order is placed, the turnaround time is optimised to ensure a three weeks delivery to clients.

Much like the idea that every journey begins with a blank canvas, clients begin by selecting their iconic piece then they select from a palette of new colours that are applied to initials and new optional stripes. Clients can also choose to have their initials set within new vintage-style patches that capture the spirit of design eras such as the Belle Époque or Art Nouveau which can also be positioned in groups and according to several schemes. From each of these options, the outcome is entirely unique.
