NUDE PROJECT OPENS A FLAGSHIP STORE IN AMSTERDAM

Nude Project opens its Amsterdam store on April 19 at Leidsestraat 31. The space spans 285 m² across three levels and marks the brand’s ninth physical location. Designed under the concept Kubrick’s Mind, the store is shaped as a cinematic environment, built around atmospheres that reference Stanley Kubrick’s film language.

The space was developed with El Departamento, an architecture studio based in Valencia. It includes nods to The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Lolita and Eyes Wide Shut, without replicating them. Instead, it distills mood into form with natural stone, marble mosaic, fragmented lighting, and curated sound design to create a layered sensory structure.

Lucas Muñoz contributes a vertical sound sculpture, SSS.IX, a nine-meter tower moving through all three floors. Each level shifts the sonic experience, altering perception of the space. His installation was produced exclusively for this project.

Founded in Barcelona in 2019, Nude Project continues to expand across Europe. Amsterdam joins Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Lisbon, and more, as part of its growing physical network. Amsterdam’s energy, openness and resistance to uniformity align closely with the brand’s values. This store invites visitors to move, listen, and look around without instruction.
