PAT MCGRATH RELEASES THE ICONIC MARGIELA GLASS SKIN LOOK IN THE FORM OF FACE MASK

Among the continuous cycle of runway shows, new collections, and makeup trends that appear across our screens, there are rare moments when fashion and beauty lovers align in one moment of sheer awe. However last year during Couture Week at the Maison Margiela 2024 Artisanal show, Pat McGrath created exactly that moment.

The porcelain-esque makeup look that dawned each model as they glided down the runway, sent the industry in a refreshing tizzy, with McGrath behind all the elation. Her glass skin effect was quickly attempted to be recreated by a host of beauty gurus, content creators, and fellow makeup artists. Yet in true Pat McGrath fashion, she has answered the call she seemingly created with the release of Skin Fetish: Glass 001 Artistry Mask. The product packages McGrath’s intensive backstage routine into one easy-to-apply single formula.

For the glass skin effect, Skin Fetish can be applied after makeup or directly to fresh skin, as the product includes an added skincare bonus. The peel-off mask is directed to be applied in thin layers to achieve the desired level of glow. Want that fresh facial look? One layer will do the trick, as the mask incorporates skincare elements of glycerin, rose flower water, and allantoin to soothe the skin. For the full runway look, up to three layers will create the frozen Margiela effect. A product created truly for the people, Skin Fetish was designed with McGrath’s audience in mind, releasing the product with a message of encouragement for her army of devotees to put their spin on the mask's abilities.

Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Glass 001 Artistry Mask will be available Jan 30th on patmcgrath.com.
