PLUNGE INTO THE REFINED UNIVERSE OF SPORTMAX SS25 COLLECTION

At the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, Sportmax presented its SS25 collection, one of its best to date. The brand’s unique identity and inherent versatility is celebrated in this stripped-back collection, already set to become a classic. Presented in the sublime alcoves of the Pinacoteca di Brera, the runway presentation resonates with to the rich and layered legacy of Italian craft. Its refinement and exquisite simplicity (without being boring) recalls the centennial sculptures that defined Ancient Rome.

As the monochromatic silhouettes strutted down the runway, we held our breath and opened our eyes. Mineral hues met the sober black and white in a unique procession of movement and grace. Aquamarine, sand, citrine and ruby adorn transparent mesh in a deeply sensual fashion. Architectural jerseys and soft-tailored sartorial embrace the body and reveal its curves while the obvious minimalist inspiration of the collection leads the way and proves us that less is veritably more. Asymmetric transparencies and organic play on layering create a powerful energy that make us wish we could jump on these garments right away.

Shiny leather compose the most exquisite dress while crystal glistening  on the body form the top of the outfits. A superb brut denim co-ord brings the 90’s to the forefront, and structured outerwear is perfect for the upcoming autumn. Seen in fresh colours, the Soft bag makes its runway debut, broadening the brand’s leather goods’ range.  The dedication to light-weight and malleable fabrications expresses the technical evolutions at the heart of the new Sportmax wardrobe. Plunging necklines and deep splits coupled with the erotic transparency of the garments act as an ode to spring and the feminine, plunging in a midsummer dream of geometric construction and free-form structure.
