TODS’ PRESENTS ITS SS25 COLLECTION ‘INTELLIGENZA ARTIGIANALE’
Tods’ Spring/Summer 2025 runway show is an ode to Italian craftsmanship and excellence. Creative director Matteo Tamburini explores the depth of the individual, and engage a dialogue with research and experimentation. The creative journey starts along the Mediterranean coast, where tradition and luxury collide with functionality and simplicity. Values that extend to the meticulously crafted set design, where monumental sculptures of hands gripping crossed leather bands created by artist Lorenzo Quinn embellish the catwalk.
The Italian lifestyle, where elegance and unpretentiousness are leading mantras, is at the forefront in this collection. The choice of materials reflect this dedication to the art of clothe-making; soft leathers meet premium cotton, while sophisticated craftsmanship bring them to life. The iconic trench-coat, a House classic takes on new fluid volumes in various lengths, adaptable to any look. The outerwear is also represented by the windbreaker, declined in resin-coated cotton or ultra-light kappa leather. Jackets and shirts in mélange crepe composed refined tailored pieces. A cropped jacket paired with slim trousers compose the most irresistible suit, declined in different shades, for our greatest pleasure.
Sublime flowing dress with a side-cape evoked a modern turn on Roman clothing strutted down the runway alongside imposing coats that embrace the body like a warm blanket. The colour palette focuses on natural tones, invoking stone, sand, bronze and the vibrant colours of Italian landscapes. The green of the meadows, the blue of the sea and the red of the earth meet a yellow soft like the sunrise. Leather goods are praised at Tods’, the Di Bag Folio family gets bigger with the new Di Bag Swing, featuring bronze and ochre tones. The Baretta models are enhanced by a slim metal band included in the shoulder and bucket bag versions. The legendary Gommimo shoe is declined in different versions, with the glove model, where a series of rings gather to create a new signature detail. The clog version sports brushed and premium leathers, while the sandal range features the Barretta accessory, with a slim metal band. Timelessly chic, this collection is quintessentially Tods’, embodying a strong and free woman, that shines her light through her clothing and attitude.
