INSIDE AUDO: WHERE DESIGN BECOMES A LIFESTYLE

words by AÏCHA PILMEYER

What is the best way to experience furniture and design? To feel it? Or by living with it? AUDO offers the possibility to do both through AUDO HOUSE, their residence in one of Copenhagen’s trendiest neighbourhoods.

AUDO is a Danish brand that combines heritage with contemporary design. They coined the term “soft minimalism,” which promotes creative contemplation and harmony. To enhance their aesthetic philosophy and understand the essence of the brand, they have created AUDO HOUSE — a public space to connect with the community and get inspired. We visited just after the busy 3DAYSOFDESIGN festival and still felt the energy in the room. It was the perfect setting to simultaneously relax and get invigorated.

The private room in AUDO HOUSE let us spend time with their furniture and design objects. We watched the European football championships on their comfortable OFFSET SOFA by NORM ARCHITECTS and read books in the stylish cantilevered READY CHAIR by MATIAS MØLLENBACH and NICK RASMUSSEN.

We felt a strong sense of community, especially at AUDO HOUSE’s restaurant. There, you blend seamlessly with Copenhagen, its design, and its citizens. Each morning, we kick-started our day with a typical Danish breakfast, leaving room to explore the city’s best pastries, especially our all-time favourite: the cardamom bun. While city trips are often quick and hasty, AUDO HOUSE provided us with a place to rest and let our creative ideas flow.
