After its exhilarating sold out debut, Upclose by Awakenings is returning for its highly anticipated second edition next year. Spaarnwoude-Park, just outside of Amsterdam, will once again be transformed into a music sanctuary for the weekend of May 17 and 18. Building on last year’s momentum, the upcoming edition will feature artists from the edges of techno niches — capturing the raw essence of dance floor culture in turn: hot, steamy intimacy.

The upcoming lineup brings together some of the most globally recognised names — like pioneers Jeff Mills and Donato Dozzy — along with local talents and some underground artists. Dutch icon Cynthia Spiering is on the roster for example, and Cristian Varela x Marco Bailey are set to face off in a thrilling 6-deck battle setup. In any case, each stage is meticulously curated to immerse audiences in a spectrum of sounds, from hypnotic to heavy hitting.

Last year’s feedback also reaffirmed Upclose’s mission to create a space where dance floor culture reigns supreme. This edition, the festival takes it a step further, refining its progressive soundscape and amplifying the connection between music, collective movement, and the moment.
