TOD’S CELEBRATES CRAFT AND CREATIVITY WITH ‘ITALIAN HANDS’

Tod’s unveils Italian Hands, a new chapter in its ongoing celebration of Italian excellence—this time through the lens of contemporary craftsmanship and cultural dialogue.

Rooted in the brand’s deep heritage of fatto a mano—handmade traditions—Italian Hands highlights the artisans who embody the essence of Italian savoir-faire. Their skill is more than a technique; it’s a way of life. But Tod’s doesn't stop at the workshop. The project brings together a constellation of modern creatives who carry that same spirit into fashion, design, photography, and beyond.

Through a series of intimate portraits, short films, and conversations, Italian Hands invites us into the world of individuals who are shaping culture with their hands and their vision. Among them: designer Walter Chiapponi, architect and designer Lucia Massari, dancer and choreographer Fabiola Baglieri, and emerging talent from the fields of cuisine, craftsmanship, and art.

These voices—young, authentic, and fiercely connected to tradition—form a mosaic of contemporary Italy. They show us that Italian craftsmanship isn't a relic of the past; it’s a living, breathing force evolving with the times.

At its heart, Italian Hands is a tribute to manual skill, but also to identity, innovation, and the quiet power of doing things well. With this project, Tod’s offers not just a window into the art of making—but a manifesto for the future of Italian style.
